Synopsis for Affordable Art Fair Singapore Autumn Edition, 12 – 15 November 2015 (Private View 11 Nov)

12 August 2015

Back for its sixth Autumn edition, the Affordable Art Fair Singapore is looking to redefine and highlight sustainable collecting in its upcoming November 2015 fair. Showcasing over 80 galleries, the Autumn fair will be offering a diverse and new range of contemporary art. With a plethora of new galleries, fresh artwork, young talent platform, and engaging education features, the Affordable Art Fair is the easiest and most enjoyable way to view and buy art this November.

The fair will showcase an inspiring Art Education Space with an innovative approach to learning including gallery-led discussions that aim to help visitors discover more about contemporary art in a fun and engaging manner, as well as new concepts such as live visual mapping of the education programme by artistic collective Band of Doodlers. Also back by popular demand our specially curated Under $1,000 Wall, will be on hand to help those who are keen to own original artworks at a wallet friendly price.

In addition to these programmes, those attending the fair will also have an exciting choice of comfortable art nooks to relax in and consider their art purchases – visitors can have an ice cold beer by Peroni Bar, enjoy light snacks at Bistro 1855, and savour a hot cup of freshly-brewed coffee by Common Man Coffee Roasters.

For those who cannot relax until the children are happy and occupied, then visitors can drop the kids off at our Children’s Art Studio. Open throughout our public days, a range of free fun filled workshops for children are being hosted by our Children’s Art Studio provider Little Artists Studio.

The Affordable Art Fair aims to make art as fun, accessible, and affordable as possible. Regardless of whether you’re a seasoned collector, or a new art enthusiast, we invite you to explore, ask questions, fall in love, and ultimately, take art home!

Will Ramsay established the Affordable Art Fair in London in 1999 with the main aim of providing a fun and exciting platform for people to gain access, increase their knowledge, fall in love with and buy art.

Today, the Affordable Art Fair has become something of a global phenomenon with 16 fairs happening in 12 major cities including Amsterdam, Bristol, Brussels, Hamburg, Hong Kong, London, Maastricht, Milan, New York, Singapore, Stockholm, and Seoul that will be launched in September this year. Over the past 16 years, more than 1.6 million people have visited an Affordable Art Fair and art sales exceed £235 million (over S$480 million) globally.
