评论: Director of the Claus Art School, he was among the early artists to establish a studio on Monhegan Island (ME), c.1900, which he shared with Alice Swett. He and Samuel P.R. Triscott were the first artists to make extensive use of artistic photography on Monhegan, providing the illustrations for A.G. Pettigill"s article, "Monhegan: Historical and Picturesque" in New England Magazine (Sept., 1898).
