评论： Brother of James Elliot Cabot (see entry). He was a sheep farmer first and went on to design the Boston Athenaeum in 1845, the Boston Theatre in 1852 and the Johns Hopkins University Hospital. He sketched scenes with Winslow Homer (see entry) during the Civil War and devoted himself to painting after his retirement from architecture in 1888.
