评论： He was brought to Hartford, CT, as a boy and at age 16 launched what would be one of the most successful careers in the art of photographic portraiture. During the 1870s, his specialty was making large photographic portraits on canvas which were then painted over. Many of his 19th century negatives were lost in the great 1904 Baltimore Fire. His sons operated separate photographic studios around the country, and these were united in 1925 to form Bachrach, Inc.
