评论： Older brother of the famous essayist William Hazlitt. The Hazlitt family moved to Ireland in 1780 and from there in 1783 to the United States. After a short time in Phila., the family settled in Massachusetts; first in Salem (1784), then in Dorchester (1786). It was at this time that John commenced his career as a miniature painter. The Hazlitt family returned to England in 1787.
