评论: One of the leading abstract painters of the Pacific Northwest. He was a friend of Jackson Pollock, whom he met at the ASL. Bunce returned to Portland in the 1930s, worked for the WPA (then returned to NYC, 1940-41 to work for the WPA mural division) and later joined the faculty of the Portland Museum of Art School, where he taught from 1946 until his retirement in 1972.
