评论: Jonathan Fisher graduated from Harvard College in 1792 and from 1796 to 1837 served as pastor of the Blue Hill (Maine) Congregational Church. He was a man of many aspects: clergyman, author, poet, linguist, inventor, farmer, surveyor, architect, naturalist, missionary, teacher. His artistic work included a self-portrait, a copy of Henry Dawkins' view of Nassau Hall, Princeton (NJ), a series of wood engravings showing the animals and other creatures of the Bible, a number of views of Harvard in watercolor, and at least twenty oils. He died in Blue Hill on September 22, 1847.
