评论： He was the son of James Sharples (see entry) and his second wife. Felix came to America with the rest of the Sharples (including his father's third wife Ellen--see entry) in 1793, and like them returned to England in 1801. He began assisting his father and stepmother with the pastel business at a young age, and began his independent career in 1806 when he came to America for the second time, along with his half-brother, James Sharples, Jr. (see entry). Felix worked briefly in NYC but several years later began working in the South. His father and other family members had come back to America in 1809, but after his father's death in 1811 they returned to England. Felix, however, remained in America.
