评论： After studying in Birmingham (England), Tuckerman returned to his hometown of Boston to head the New England School of Design. After a year of study in Paris in 1860, Tuckerman returned to Boston and taught drawing until 1864, at which time he began to focus on his painting. After 1872 he spent most of his time in Europe. He was at the Hague in 1884.
