评论： Active 1880s-90s, May Electa Ferris was the daughter of Stephen J. Ferris, one of the first artists in America to take up etching. She married Noah B. Smith in the 1890s. Her brother Jean Leon Gerome Ferris was also an artist. Her mother was Elizabeth Moran, the sister of artists Thomas, Peter, John and Edward.
