评论: Famous for his portrayal of field and hunting dogs, Rosseau was an adventurer, who at times worked as a cowboy, cattle driver and commodities broker. In 1900, he won a prize at the Paris Salon for a nude, but became commercially successful in 1904 after he focused on animals. He returned permanently to the U.S. in 1915, working at Old Lyme and in North Carolina.
