藝術家Horace BRISTOL (1909-1997) 生平簡歷

出生地: Whittier, CA

死亡地点: Ojai, CA

职业: Photographer

评论: One of Life magazine's first staff photographers, his images of the Depression, WWII heroism in the Pacific, and post-war poverty in rural Korea rank him with the great photojournalists of the century. During the Depression, he inspired John Steinbeck to travel with him and write while Bristol took pictures; it was from this experience that Steinbeck wrote his Grapes of Wrath. Bristol abandoned photography in 1956 after the suicide of his wife.
