评论: Beginning in the 1920s, he became best known as an etcher of female portraits and figures, often using his wife, Anais, as his model. In 1929, he fell in love with Kathleen Woodward, a young artist"s model, and she is the sitter in his most famous etching, "Adolescence" of 1932. In 1939, he divorced his wife to marry Kathleen, and they moved to New Jersey. She died in 1995, and her estate collection was sold by Dawson"s Auctioneers, Morris Plains, NJ, in 1998.
