评论: Of German descent, Anna and her sisters were born in the U.S., but educated in Switzerland and France. She fulfilled portrait commissions in the U.S. and abroad until 1898, when she asked animal painter Rosa Bonheur to sit for a portrait. Subsequently she lived with her idol until Bonheur's death a year later and inherited the estate, where she stayed for the next 30 years, painting and writing. Founder: Rosa Bonheur Mem.
