评论: After achieving great success with her paintings of female nudes in pastoral settings (she painted 150 of them), she tersely announced in 1928 that she would never again paint another nude. Despite her great financial success, she said "There isn"t enough money in this country to make me paint another one!" And she didn"t. Instead, she became known for her portraits, and painted people and scenes in Brittany, Venice, and North Africa, the islanders of the South Pacific, and a series on bull-fighting. She also painted Whistler"s portrait while studying with him.
