评论： Attended public school in England and immigrated to a ranch in Canada at age nineteen. Making his way to California, he worked on cattle ranches and then studied art in San Francisco. In the 1920s he returned to Europe for further studies. He was an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1932 and until 1977 he chronicled the history of the Navy in watercolor. Contrib., national magazines, newspapers. Position: t., Chouinard Art School and in his studio.
