评论: In his early years spent summers painting in Holland, Belgium, France and Switzerland, as well as Maine and Woodstock, NY. Preferred media: oils, watercolor, reverse painting on glass, woodblock prints, etching. Positions: supervisor, teacher of fine & industrial arts, NYC Public School System, 1904-40, head art dept., 1924-40. Started Saturday art classes for gifted students in NYC Public School System beginning in 1924. Lecturer, winter art seminars, Ringling Art Mus, Sarasota, FL. Contributor to newspapers and educational publications. Contributed art files to Bryn Mawr College. He painted until his 79th year. Author: Art for Gifted Students, pub.
