评论: Well-known for his scenes of the countryside surrounding Wash., DC (oil and watercolors), as well as his animal-life pictures. Beginning in late 1914, he began sketching outdoors with members of an informal group of landscape artists called The Ramblers Sketch Club (at this early date the group consisted of Charles H. Seaton, Winfield Scott Clime, and Edwin G. Cassedy). During the 1930s-40s he contibuted over 3700 animal illustrations to the Evening's Star's syndicated series, Nature's Children;" he also illustrated nature books and did portraits of pets of leading Washingtonians. During the 1940s he did much restoration work (see Strass). Moore moved to Florida after his wife's death in the 1950s; there he continued to paint landscapes, even after his eyesight began to fail. Teaching: etching, Clara Hill School of Art, Wash., DC.
