评论: He visited New Orleans in 1872, where his uncle John Brunasso was a partner in an importing firm. He settled there permanently in 1876, after traveling to Mexico and Central America. His uncle helped him set up a studio, where he painted many portraits of prominent people as well as landscapes and genre scenes. He became an important figure in the art community. Husband of Marie Madeleine Seebold (see entry).
