Gene was born in Alexandria, Egypt, to an Italian family on March 11, 1952 and has lived in Rome since 1962, where he graduated in murals from the San Giacomo Institute. Since the 90s, he has worked full time, alternating surreal works with exquisitely landscaped works. The “sign” that make Gene painting immediately recognizable is certainly his relief technique : thanks to the intentional use of a spatula and a brush, he creates three-dimensional oil paintings. Gene has participated in over 100 solo exhibitions and 600 national and international art exhibitions.
