评论: During the late 1920s, he worked as a magazine and newspaper artist in Berlin, Germany. His political cartoons were bitterly critical of Hitler and the rising Nazi movement. Even though he signed his work in pseudonyms he was forced to flee Germany in 1933 and arrived in NYC in 1934. He continued his political cartoons as a staff artist for Esquire and also contributed to Life, Collier's and Coronet magazines and the New York Post. He also illustrated books for a number of publishers.
