For 20 years – small and subtle fine and extraordinarily important
Since its inception in 1996, LISTE has developed into one of the most important fairs for mostly new, but also to some extent a middle generation of galleries.
LISTE focuses on introducing young galleries with primarily emerging, as yet little known artists. Each year, approximately 80 galleries from over 30 countries are presented – of those, 10 – 15 galleries are introduced for the first time. LISTE’s mission is to promote these new galleries and introduce them to an international expert public.
It would be difficult to find a gallery established after 1996 and numbering among the world’s most important whose path has not included an appearance at LISTE.
A visit to LISTE has become a “must” for the most important private and institutional collectors, curators, museum people and art lovers. Thus, each year LISTE serves as the meeting place for members of the international art world who are interested in this new generation of galleries and artists.
Our fair is located in the centre of Basel and can be reached in about 10 minutes by foot from Art Basel. We are in close proximity to the most important museums, e.g. the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Kunstmuseum Basel, the Tinguely Museum and Kunsthalle Basel. The Beyeler Foundation and Schaulager are reachable from our fair by Tram. In the evening there is a rich assortment of events, restaurants, bars and clubs for a guaranteed change of pace.

Free admission for kids up to 16 years, if accompanied by an adult.
