The painting by ukrainian artist Victor Pokidanets.
On the painting depicted some industrial buildings. A topic of esthetized mazut, antagonism of human being and machine has alwayus been delicately experienced by persons of contemporary artistic life of the post-soviet territory. But that first work of the “ArtProm” series tells us about “metal fatigue”, just like the whole project does. The painting presents a portrait of an ordinary industrial object which the artist treats as if he painted a portrait of man. So there're an author’s respect, attention and gratitude to his “model”.
Oil on canvas, 101 x 142 cm, 2008. Work signed by author lower right.
