This is a wonderful example of Shayne Dark's dance with form and light. The work is created out of Ironwood, and is painted a flat white. On a light colored wall, the shadows become an integral part of the work, adding another dimension.

Since he began his artistic career in the mid 1980’s, Dark has participated in exhibitions throughout Ontario and Quebec, and in the United States, notably at the Albright-Knox Gallery in Buffalo, New York and the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC. Many public galleries have exhibited his work – the Masur Museum of Art in LA, the MacLachlin Museum (Ontario), the Glenbow Museum (Calgary), the Art Gallery of Peterborough and Musée des Beaux‐arts de Sherbrooke.
