Wenzel Hablik's early paintings are marked by their dynamic, impasto execution and expression. Later his work is dominated by symbolist inspiration and imagination. Some of his paintings include existential questions as Where from ? Where to ? His view of nature was formed by his reading of Schopenhauer and Nietzsche which, around 1906, laid the foundation of his utopian crystal-world... A very rare testimony of his paintings of that period.
