RETNA is the pseudonym for graffiti artist Marquis Lewis (American, b. 1979) who combines ancient scripts, runes and calligraphy into a unique visual language only decipherable to eyes trained to do so. This mysterious quality and looming scale are “sui generis”, (of it’s own kind), and unlike those who have come before or after.
