Nando Stevoli (b. in 1953) was inspired by Kinetic art and Op art and started "pleating" or folding canvas as refined monochromes. His works are stretched out (with a slight spatial expansion to the outside), depicting harmonious reliefs that create lights and shadows, on which the artist applies a lime layer. Stevoli interprets Fontana's word through research on the pleating of the canvas: a simple canvas arranged, accompanied on the support, generates highly expressive compositions, with a precise palette of colors. After a long series of artistic experiments, from figurative painting to informal art and lithographic engravings, the artist identifies the path of the plissé and in 2016. He has participated in several collective and personal exhibitions in Italy and around the world. He lives and works in Ferrara
