Abderrahmane OUARDANE, Contemporary Artist born in 1947, Casablanca. Studied fine arts at Beaux-Arts Workshops in Paris (1970). Ouardane has exhibited regularly since 1980. Lives and works in Morocco. Generational colleague of the Trans-Mediterranean Modernists from the “Casablanca School”.

OUARDANE's art draws its source from vernacular heritage in a context of mutations, oscillating between history and contemporaneity with pictorial and aesthetic transcribing imaginations drawn from intangible heritage of Orient, Occident and Africa. 

In this work, the artist materializes his imagination by sketching floating silhouettes in a warmly colored landscape. Ouardane's artistic approach highlights light and shadow, creating plays of contrasts that accentuate shapes and textures. He also explores emotions and intimacy, making each piece unique.
