El tema de San Jorge es recurrente en la obra de Subirachs, pero hay que remarcar que al abordarlo siempre ha tratado de distanciarse del carácter folclórico del símbolo, evitando representaciones tópicas. Se trata de una figura de cuerpo entero y de pie. El rostro y el torso son esculpidos en negativo, mientras que los brazos, las piernas y el escudo vertical en punta, sobre el que se apoya el caballero, lo son en positivo.
